Osmania Hospital Visit

The Treasure HUnt, which was all set for the 10th of August got washed out because of a cyclonic depression. The food order however could not be cancelled at such short notice so we had to pay the Bakery for the food. We approached them on the evening of the 9th, which meant that the raw material was all ordered but the sandwiches had not been made yet. On explaining the situation to him, the owner said we could just pay for the bread and then do whatever we wanted with it. So we did just that !! On the 10th of August, The Rotaract Club of Hyderabad East stood literally all morning on necklace road near people's plaza to tell participants that the treasure hunt had been called off. Once we finished that horribly humiliating task ( Thanks to the weather ... ) ,we went to the bakery and picked up the 40 king sized loaves of bread. We then went to Osmania Hospital and approached the administrative branch who directed us towards the burns ward.It was a heart wrenching experience as we went from ward to ward, giving out bread to the patients and their families. It was really one experience that we will not forget for a very long time.Just looking at the patients sent shivers up our spines, it is futile to try to imagine the pain they must have been in.We are just glad that we could do something, even if it was something so small , to ease their pain for a short span of time.
